Hold miuniBTC for MITO Points (uniBTC)

miuniBTC represents your LP position

During Expedition (uniBTC), you can either hold your miuniBTC for MITO Points (uniBTC) or Redeem them. Holding miuniBTC on Ethereum network let you get MITO Points (uniBTC). L2 networks have a higher Boost multiple than Ethereum. Additionally, each network will have a different Epoch deposit threshold and Epoch Boost. Make your own Expedition (uniBTC) strategy to maximize your Boost multiple and MITO Points (uniBTC).

Moving your miuniBTC cross-chain

Expedition (uniBTC) does not support a direct miuniBTC cross-chain swap. If you want to transfer miuniBTC cross-chain (e.g., Arbitrum → Optimism), follow these steps:

  1. Redeem your miuniBTC on the current network (more details in the next section)
  2. Swap your uniBTC to wrapped BTC via AMM pools on each network
  3. Bridge the wrapped BTC you received to your desired network
  4. Mint uniBTC again on the network
  5. Deposit the newly minted uniBTC to Mitosis
info

Important: miuniBTC bridged using L2 canonical bridges like Arbitrum Bridge will NOT be counted as eligible during the Expedition (uniBTC) campaign.

Using the canonical bridges to transfer your miuniBTC cross-chain can result in issues including the following:

  • Losing the eligibility to get MITO points (uniBTC) as a miuniBTC holder
  • Cross-chain transaction costs (i.e., additional gas spent on using the canonical bridges)
  • Waiting for up to seven days for L2 → Ethereum transfers

If you end up using the canonical bridges, you can always get your principal uniBTC back by using the bridges again. However, please consider the abovementioned risks that could compromise your Expedition (uniBTC) experience.

Please note

Mitosis is NOT responsible for any losses incurred while using L2 canonical bridges in the Expedition campaign.
