Chapter 14 - Special Proposal Types

The Mitosis governance system accommodates various proposal types to address different aspects of the ecosystem. Each type follows a specific process tailored to its purpose and urgency:

Candidate Proposals

  • Purpose: To introduce potential projects for EOL allocation.
  • Process: 3-5 day discussion period; Proposers showcase their team, project, and potential benefits of EOL relationship; No formal passing requirements, but community engagement is crucial.

Rewards Proposals

  • Purpose: To provide a detailed overview of the EOL allocation proposal.
  • Process: 7 day period; Includes a temperature check to gauge community sentiment; Must receive at least 51% YES votes to proceed to Stage 2.

EOL Allocation Proposals

  • Purpose: To allocate Ecosystem-Owned Liquidity to protocols or projects.
  • Process: Follows the standard four-stage process (Candidate, Rewards, Initiation, and Gauge votes).

Removal Proposals

  • Purpose: To remove a specific vault strategy from the gauge vote.
  • Process: Can be initiated weekly, with immediate effect if passed.

Each proposal type is designed to address specific needs of the Mitosis ecosystem while ensuring appropriate levels of community involvement and scrutiny. The flexibility in proposal types allows the governance system to efficiently handle a wide range of decisions, from routine operations to strategic shifts in the protocol's direction.
